1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, browsing, or transacting on https://www.mihilakgems.com ("Website"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable national and international export laws. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our online catalog or concierge services.

2. Gemstone Authenticity & Laboratory Certification

Mihilak Gems guarantees that all natural gemstones offered on this platform are 100% genuine earth-mined corundum and precious minerals.

• Certification: Every collector gemstone is accompanied by an official identification and origin report issued by reputable independent laboratories, primarily the National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) of Sri Lanka, GIA, or GRS.
• Treatment Disclosure: We adhere to full, unconditional gemological disclosure. Any enhancement (such as standard traditional thermal enhancement or completely unheated status) is explicitly stated on the stone's product certificate and listing.
• Imagery & Color Accuracy: Gemstones are photographed under calibrated 5500K daylight-equivalent lighting. Due to varying monitor calibrations and natural trichroism/pleochroism, slight color variations under different light sources are natural characteristics of fine corundum.

3. Pricing, Inquiries & Vault Availability

Due to the unique, one-of-a-kind nature of natural high-grade Ceylon gemstones:

• All stones are subject to prior sale. Availability is confirmed upon direct inquiry with our gem concierge desk.
• Prices are quoted in United States Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to correct typographical pricing errors before confirming an invoice.
• A gemstone is officially reserved for a client only upon receipt of an agreed earnest deposit or formal confirmation of wire transfer.

4. International Shipping & Customs Duties

We provide secure, door-to-door, fully-insured international express air courier shipping across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East via authorized carriers (FedEx Priority, DHL Express, Brink's Global).

Customs & Import Taxes: Shipments originate legally from Colombo, Sri Lanka, complete with official NGJA export clearance. Applicable destination import duties, VAT, or customs clearance charges are the responsibility of the recipient in accordance with their nation's import regulations.

5. Inspection Period & Return Policy

We want every collector to be entirely confident in their acquisition. We offer a 7-day private inspection period starting from the official courier delivery confirmation timestamp.

• Notification & RMA: If you elect to return an unset gemstone, you must notify our concierge desk within 7 calendar days of receipt to receive return authorization instructions.
• Original Condition & Security Seals: The gemstone must be returned in its original, unaltered, unset condition, accompanied by all original intact laboratory reports (NGJA, GIA, GRS) and presentation cases.
• Return Shipping & Insurance: Return shipping costs and mandatory fully-insured express transit insurance (FedEx Priority / DHL Express / Brink's) are the responsibility of the sender. Risk of loss or damage during return transit remains with the sender until physical delivery to our vault.
• Gemological Verification & Refund Timeline: Upon safe arrival, the gemstone undergoes microscopic inspection by our gemologist to verify weight, inclusion mapping, and unaltered condition against archive records. Full purchase refunds (less initial outbound shipping/customs export fees) are processed via wire transfer within 3 to 5 business days of successful inspection.
• Import Taxes & Duties: Destination country import duties, customs clearance taxes, and VAT paid by the recipient to their local customs authority are non-refundable by Mihilak Gems.
• Bespoke Custom Jewelry: Custom jewelry mountings, bespoke ring settings, and stone recutting services commissioned by the client are non-refundable bespoke creations once authorized and forged.
